It is illegal to sell a knife to anyone under the age of 18.

It is an offence to have an article with a blade or point in a school or public place without good reason or lawful excuse, although an exception applies to folding pocket knives with a blade of less than three inches in length. An offender may be sentenced to a maximum of two years for carrying a knife in public and four years for carrying a knife in a school.
